Windows 10: Video tdr failure

Hi

When my computer woke up from sleep, I got a BSOD with VIDEO TDR FAILURE and what failed: atikmpag.sys (I'm almost certain it was this file). After the restart, everything was back to normal. intel driver assistance say everything is up to date.

Since it's back to normal, I should ignore and see if it happens again or can I do something now, to check what was the problem?

From the event viewer:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xffffdd09a5be7460, 0xfffff80624740500, 0x0000000000000000, 0x000000000000000d). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 4859baa1-1874-4bed-b5f9-30d2b29e39be.

The memory dump file is 2gb/293mb(rar) so obviously I can't put it here.

Before the critical item, I have the following warning several times
Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

Windows Video TDR Failure

My laptop is showing Windows Video TDR failure after the latest update.

For overcoming this issue I just reinstalled older version of windows 10 still it's showing windows video TDR failure.

For the second time I formatted my C drive and installed windows 10 still it's showing windows video TDR failure.

I have performed windows error check through bios also no use.

How can I fix it???

Hi valihrach,

Some of your suggestions are not for TDR problems, TDR problems are video related and things as sata/raid controller driver replacement have nothing to do with video related things.

The third thing is a personal opinion and may not be a solution for the OP, many will say that AMD sucks where many others will say that Nvidia sucks.
