VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR BSOD on new computer with older GPU.

Hello,

After a miserable experience with a pre-built computer having a plethora of BSOD's and freezes that could not be diagnosed, I built a new computer about a week ago. Everything in it is brand new and checked for compatibility except the Graphics Card which is being replaced with the 1070 once it releases. The one currently in it is an old GTX 660 EVGA SC.

Anyways, it's been fine and dandy, I've been monitoring all temps/voltages and everything is going alright, except I encountered my first BSOD today and it terrified me (not again!!!!)

What I was doing at the time of the BSOD was opening Overwatch for the first time after a new patch, and also opening EVGA Precision X (I use the EVGA fan profile for Overwatch because it's a GPU killer) My screen froze and the feeling I know all too well perked up, yep, another Blue Screen.

The error identifier was:

VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR

Which I've determined is commonly related to GPU driver issues, however, I thought I'd be extra careful while I'm in my 30 day return period and see if this is an actual issue. It appears that the issue was caused by DirectX.

I've uploaded the debugging files as asked and have attached them below

Is this something to be concerned about, or is it likely just a buggy driver release some weird interaction caused by Overwatch Startup and EVGA Precision X startup coinciding?

:)

BSOD - VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR when playing Netflix in IE 11 [Windows 10]

DMP 1 - 080915-7468-01.dmp

DMP 2 - 080915-9546-01.dmp

MSinfo32 - MSinfo32.nfo

I have received two BSOD VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR when watching Netflix on Internet explorer 11 on recently upgraded Windows 10. This only started happening today and only happens when the show I am watching on Netflix is about to switch to next episode.
Right when its about to show the little window showing next "next episode in 15 secs" it crashes the computer with BSOD VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR and a buzzing sound.

I have checked my GPU drivers and they are up to date according to Nvdia.

VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR BSOD on new computer with older GPU.

Hello and welcome DeJawsh mate in the msinfo32 files there two problem components - keyboard and mouse do not have drivers installed Look in that file and open out Components and check problems.

In the dumps there are refs to the Direct X system but are marked as part of the Windows Update system and for me hard to get a fix on
Code: *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for dxgmms2.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for dxgmms2.sys
and this
Code: *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for watchdog.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for watchdog.sys
You might like to give this old post a read through as well BSOD caused by watchdog.sys - Windows 7 Help Forums for the latter.

As for the GPU well it might be that 10 does not support it mate because I can find very little in the way of drivers just this rather obtuse support ref EVGA - Articles - EVGA GTX 660 Graphics Cards

Time for a new one??

It seems that all of this this is pointing to driver issues. Even the post you linked which seemed to allude to RAM errors was fixed once the person installed different drivers.

The keyboard and mouse do not really require drivers (I checked and my keyboard doesn't even have anything available and my mouse just has customization software)

I already am buying a new GPU however, just got to wait for it to release (3 more days, but we'll see if anyone can actually get their hands on them), and I'll likely do a clean install once that happens.

Is there nothing that alludes to the two applications I opened at the same time? The bluescreen happened immediately after the fact and I opened up Overwatch (a new game if you aren't familiar, kinda buggy), and EVGA Precision X at the same.

Yes well I guess we are going to have to wait for the new card and if there is a problem with the RAM for example then maybe even a memtest might be in order. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums
Just make sure to take note of the instruction to run for at least 8 passes otherwise you may as well not bother It is tedious and best run overnight unless you get errors come up fairly quickly. See pic (it is an older version but the same form of readout)
