Windows 10: videos in messenger

I use firefox and it updated today and now it will not play any videos sent through messenger, but aslso when you go to download the video it shows as a HTML, anyone have a solution please, have cleared cach, did a pc restart and even reset firefox nothing has helped.

on and that the Messenger app on under
Choose apps that can use your camera
is set to
On.

Go to
Microphone. Make sure that it is also turned on and that the Messenger
app on under Choose
apps that can use your microphone
is set to
On.

All my settings are as you suggested except that I cannot the messenge app I am not on a laptop but on a minitower.GTheprobesintaht allworsk fro 2 -3 min then broken and we have to re
