    is a bit faster, has major fixes to the OS, gives you the ability to boot into the desktop, there are also security changes, and I read somewhere if you do not upgrade from 8 to 8.1 eventually you will not be able to get Security updates for 8

    Well, I just love Win7, it just works and it's something most people can get used to quickly.
    As for Win8.1, I just love it for my use and how I use a PC. I was using Vista and when Win7 came out it was a total breath of fresh air. Right not I'm still playing around with Win8.1 and I'm liking more every day.
