    Had a weird popup message on an external data drive that I transferred some file with to 10 last install of the current version,
    It did provoke a win-7 scan for errors popup that would be concerning if it were a main backup data drive but it had only 20 gig's of copied files on it that transferred well everything worked on 10 side afterwards,
    So 10 did something to it,
    I bailed on the scan thing and just randomly looked at the files on it they seemed okay to me but I formatted it anyway ?
    Popup said it might happen disconnecting it improperly :/
    Well I disconnected it after complete shut down so 10 did put some sort of hook on it *Confused

    I hope they do offer a discount price. If I decide to upgrade to Win 10, I'll need 3 copies. 4 copies if my wife will let me update her laptop. You could install Win 10 without her knowing it, then say M.S. did some updates.
    Do not take this to serious....

    Well for what it is worth.....

    i used dynamic disks lately and y e a r s ago. And everytime it felt as being slower then basic disks.

    So for me never again dynamic disks.

    Depends on the release price mostly for me. Os is stable for the most part apart from a few issues but that's expected on a early build.

    Hi there

    Have you tried STORAGE SPACES yet --far better than Dynamic disks and performance significantly improved too. Error recovery also better than RAID mirror striping !!.

    As far as W10 is concerned - really no significant errors - I've been testing mainly as VM's - so I'm not sure what NATIVE USB3 performance is like - however at this stage that's NOT a showstopper for me.

    As far as I can tell RAID Mirrors are only useful if one drive suffers an instant & total catastrophic failure.

    Given Windows penchant for fragmenting/moving files, I don't trust Storage Spaces either.
