Cannot unpin items from Start or remove items from Most Used list

I think I have found the problem. Kaspersky Anti Virus software seems to have a bug which affects the Start screen on Windows 10. Restarting explorer.exe using task manager, or logging out and back in (or restarting windows) seems to update the Start menu
with the pin/un-pin operations you did. If you pin/un-pin apps again, you need to restart explorer.exe again to show the updated list.

This workaround doesn't, however, solve the hindrance in the search results. The only solution I could find was uninstalling Kaspersky altogether.

Hoping Kaspersky issue a patch for this soon!

I had it before yesterdays updates. I don't have it now so seems to have been fixed.

Why a poll?? It's a known issue and MS is working on it??

  6. I voted that "I have the bug", but I've only seen it once so far (although I don't shutdown/restart very often).

Mine are working so far.. but this is off topic.. I still get the error and I suspect we will until MS fixes it.

Thanks BunnyJ, agree with you, hopefully the next build will eliminate this error.

I suspect/hope that it will be taken care of. It's a code error in the OS and I just think that MS is not going to send down an update to address just this issue. While it would be nice I don't see that happening.

I updated from 10122 to 10130 and had the error on shut down, only. Decided to do a clean install and now get the error on Sign Out, Restart and Shut Down. If any of the fixes we got over the last couple of days were suppose to fix it, I wouldn't know because have the updates never finished.

Posted no fix for this, and no coming update. Will be fixed in next insider fast build.
