Reducing the resolution is the equivalent, though pixelated. *Biggrin
Or just changing the text size to larger font would make it readable at 100%.

Though I use 100%, a font size of 12pt instead of 9pt looks nicer.

Here is a nice test in practice:
    640x400 @100% DPI = 1920x1200 @300% DPI
(well, equal from the item-scale point of view; not the pixels; display gfx stretching should be enabled for the low res)

Click image to play animation, each of both frames is shown for 3 seconds:

Notice the sharpness on high DPI but they're both practically the same from a distance.
The screen is in the end the same for two resolutions of same ratio, the second being actually the less pixelated version of the first.

Got that, looks like 110% is my sweet spot on DPI.
MS sure buried that setting in 10, in 7 it was easy to find.

Now when I look at the default scale slider in display, it says 175%
but the DPI scale is 110%.

Now if I could get the font up to 10point and lose the High Contrast setting.

I got weird values as well there, the one saying 175% is obviously inactive and wrong (a bug...)

Text size can be changed, see here:

Besides icons, you see titles and other options.

Changing font size does not work for me, and I go back to 100%.
When I change the point size nothing? After I reboot nothing?
    It's still at 9 point.

But I'm happy with DPI at 110% and high contrast.
    Thanks much!
