    Virtualization and keylogging

I have files upon files and recordings of persons accessing my account through virtual machine and changing settings and locking me out to down right bricking my computer. Custom scripts and everything in between. Now it's to the point where I am about to drop windows platform entirely. The security is inconsistent. I don't browse or download harmful things. Example. Bought a brand new laptop today. Fresh install. Guess.what? Persons had my info as soon as I signed into my Microsoft account. 2 hours later him and I were literally fighting for control though cmd or safe boot ect. As of right now I am sick of burning Iso files. My backups are copied as soon as they get inserted to USB. Its It's ridiculous. The info is all there. 800 dollar.laptop bought today just to have a security breach in a hour. That's with your windows defender. Do something about this ****. I changed policies. I used admin. I used godly amounts of cmds and still I leave my computer for 10 minutes and boom. My PC is erased and all my mounted drives are mixed which only figured out after I was rebuilding the boot manually. Now thats.minor. what isn't is the virtualization that windows pushes and it's a huge concern. They also have my home net info which I now have to change out equipment so let's see....bricked new PC In two hours....info comprimised....recordings of this happening

..which you wouldn't need because y'all can access that if you wanted to yourselves since everything about windows tracks you which fine corporate wise...I get. Consumer to be able to do whatever and I can't even fight back because some guy knows more IT net then myself? Fix this. My product is ruined....btw....I own windows pro and yeah couldn't get my dig key either. Don't hit me with the is your account synced and did you try ect ect in cmd. Yes and yes. But ya know. Kinda hard to do a simple thing when I'm constantly being harrassed

    :)

Installing a Virtual Machine in Windows 10

Step #1 is to decide which virtual machine software you wish to install.

The three most popular choices are:

    • VirtualBox (from Oracle)
    • VMWare Workstation Player (from VMWare); and
    • Hyper-V (from Microsoft)

Once you've made your choice you can find detailed, illustrated instructions for installing each one on the internet.

As a personal suggestion: You might find it easier to use either VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation Player. Hyper-V is more complicated to setup.

Between VirtualBox and VMWare, I think you'll find VirtualBox more user-friendly, and it has the advantage of allowing you to create checkpoints - backups of your virtual machine - whereas to do that in VMWare you'll need to upgrade to their (expensive!)
    paid version.

    BSOD when launching Virtual Machine

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate your effort on this. I understand how difficult it could be when the computer doesn’t work as it is supposed to, we will look into this for you. Please reply with the following details to assist you with the appropriate troubleshooting
    steps:

    • Which application are you using to create Virtual Machine?
    • Does the issue occur only when launching a Virtual Machine?
    • Have you reinstalled Windows on the computer?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

I have analyzed the dump files shared by you. Since the issue occurs when you launch Virtual Machine, I suggest you to try disabling the VMWare USB Arbitration Service and check if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + R, to open
      Run
      dialog box.
    2. Type services.msc and click on
      OK
      .
    3. Look for the VMWare USB Arbitration Service and double click on it to open
      Properties.
    4. Select Disabled from the drop down for
      Startup and Stop the service.
    5. Click on Apply and OK.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.
