Windows 10: Virus and Security issue.

My PC suffered a virus infection last week, the attack was so harsh that even Microsoft Defender was deleted I installed Malware Bytes scanned the system, and got rid of the virus apparently. I performed an in-place upgrade to recover the defender and successfully recovered it. I did all sorts of scans and deleted the detections. But now I have my LinkedIn account hacked is it possible that my password was leaked because of the virus? The main thing I am asking is how to thoroughly scan my PC so that no malicious software is left that could cause harm in the coming days.Or do I need to forma

Yes that's exactly what I have. If you notice there is an uninstall option next to organize if you scroll to other updates ie. office, but it will disappear once you scroll to the latest updates.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below method.

Method 1.

  Open Microsoft edge and click on (…) button.
  
• 
  Click on Settings and click on Advanced settings.
  
• On cookies option select Don’t block cookies.

If the issue still persist, try the below step.

Method 2.

If a computer is infected by a virus, lots of resources will be taken up to greatly slow down computer performance. I suggest you to run virus scan (Microsoft Safety Scanner) and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

If the above method did not help to fix the issue, try the below method.

Method 3.

I suggest you to delete browsing history, cookies and cached and check.

  Open Microsoft edge and click on (…) button.
  
• 
  Go to settings and click on Choose what to clear
  tab under clear browsing data.
  
• 
  And clear browsing history, cached and cookies.
