    Virus and spyware definitions couldn’t be updated from the server


    Hi,


    We created the Anti malware policy in the SCCM. Created the fallback for "UNC share path & SCCM" for Intelligence update and deployed the custom policy to Offline windows server 2012 R2 and windows server 2008 R2. We tried to click update button to update the virus and spyware signatures showing error "Virus and spyware definitions couldn’t be updated from the server".Error screenshot has been uploaded. Please help me on this.

    There are several possible reasons why you are unable to update your virus and spyware definitions in Windows 10. The most common cause is internet connectivity. If you are online, it can be caused by conflicts with the settings in Windows Internet Explorer.

    For us to better assist you with this concern, we need to ask a few questions:

    • Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
    • Are there issues with the internet connection?
    • Are you getting any error messages? Can you send a screenshot?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    I have same problem when trying to update Defender.

    Keep getting the message "Virus and spyware definitions couldn't be updated"

    Updation of Virus & Spyware definitions

    Virus & Spyware definitions didn't update because of an internet or connectivity problem.

    It is showing when I am going to update Virus & Spyware definitions. But there is no problem of connectivity or Internet. Real time protection is on & unable to update Virus & Spyware definitions.

    Please guide to resolve the problem.
