Windows 10: Virus and Threat Protection Gone and Not Working

Hello!


I installed Avira antivirus a few months ago, and decided to uninstall it today, deleting all of the files in my computer and uninstalling all of the programs it had. I wanted to do a virus check, and when i opened Windows Security, the Virus and Threat Protection tab was gone. If i look for it on the windows search, it shows up, but when i click it to open it, it says ¨PAGE NOT AVAILABLE Your IT administrator has limited access to some areas of the app, and the item you tried to access is not available. Contact IT helpdesk for more information¨

This is a HOME COMPUTER, its not connected to any company network whatsoever.

I´ve tried all of the suggested solutions, and nothing works, from using the Command Prompt of the Windows Security program file to performing a repair upgrade, and it still doesn´t work.


Can anyone help?

Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

NOTICE: After, installing 1909 update, Windows Defender, Virus and Threat protection, is / was "OFF". IS this common? Is this a bug? NO MESSAGE appeared in my Notification Area.. ONLY, by chance, did I notice, and turn it back on. I'd suggest.. AT
ALL TIMES.. 'WHENEVER' MY virus protection is turned off.. BY DEFAULT... I 'SHOULD' BE NOTIFIED! YOUR thoughts on this?

 

Virus threat protection

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
