    Virus and threat protection is being controlled by an organization?


    Hello,

    I have noticed my virus and threat protection is hidden for me. Other protections like windows defender and the firewall say its being "managed by my organization". Problem here is, i work by myself. This is my PC and no one else uses it.


    Now i do have an school account and a user-specific account on my PC. Is there any way i could've accidentally gotten "taken" into my schools IT-network?


    I really don't like not being in control of my own PC right now so any help is much appreciated...


    also i am not in the Windows Insider Program

    Virus and Threat Protection Issue

    When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?

    Your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization.

    Hello,

    Open Group Policy snap-in by running gpedit.msc command.

    Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Defender Security Center > Virus and threat protection.

    Set 'Hide the Virus and threat protection area' setting to Not Configured.

    Also refer this fix: FIX: Your Virus & Threat Protection Is Managed By Your Organization

    Hi,

    I'm facing issue with windows security in windows 10. In virus & threat protection showing that your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization. pls help how to clear it. I tried with registry Editor but after the reboot again same issue.
