    Virus infection


    I recently brought a Acer Predator 17 X. After two weeks i noticed a “-“ flashing ln the top left hand side of t a blank screen that loaded after the Acer logo screen and the Windows10 loading screen. I found a utility on sorceforge that found a virus in the bootrecord that it removed. After removing it. It was back as it has also infected the video card and the ram. The virus was identafied as “Gen:Veriant.jaik.14304” and is not picked up with any free or comercial antivirus software. The virus has a keylogger inbeded in it and the only way I could surf the net without detection was to use a Linux system run from a USB stick. Since then I opppened the bios and noticed the same “-“ flashing in the top left of the screen before the bios opens. I have know idea how to get rid of this. It is now compleatly invisable and nolonger gives a warning flash when opening either the bios or when windows starts. I have know idea of where to even get help. The antivirus companies that I have brought products from just want more money to do anything about it. Wondering if anyone can help or point me to a website that could

    steps taken for infected Pc's.


    I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

    Infected by mail.ru virus


    I reinstalled Java, now its version is 64-bit. We have deleted and cleaned a lot of things. So I think I shouldn't think my PC is infected now. I thought silly about residual files, sorry for that. This infected virus disrupted my psychology. Anyway, is there any step to clean or do something else for harmful file or stuff in my PC?
