    Visual C++ Lots of entries ?.

    Upgraded from 8.1 to 10(build 10586) on 15th July.
    Only just expanded the "installed on" date.
    Do I leave them as is, delete some(which ones), or check for updated versions(which ones) ?.
    Not had any errors related to them.

  2. side by side configuration is incorrct

    Hi Praveen,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    You are getting this error message because Microsoft Visual C++ is damaged or missing.

    To uninstall all current Microsoft Visual C++ installations

    a. From within the Start screen, type "Control Panel"

    b. If viewing categories, click Programs and click Uninstall a Program.

    If viewing icons, click Programs and Features.

    c. Scroll down to locate the Microsoft Visual C++ entries.

    d. Select each one, starting from the top entry, and choose Uninstall.

    e. Do this for each entry, until there are no more Microsoft Visual C++ entries listed.

    You can install the latest Supported Visual C++ Downloads.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667/en-us

    Once the package has been downloaded and installed, restart Windows.

    Finally, launch the program and check the issue.

    Let us know if it helps. If you have further queries, we will be happy to help.

  3. Windows update hangs

    Thanks Sumit

    it kind of worked, but now I have the Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package (KB3119142) Installed successfully 5 Times!!! When I check for updates it again brings me the same update (KB3119142) as "available"??

    In the Control Panel update list I find 2 entries vor Visual C++:

    Visual C++2010x64Redistributable 10.0.40219 and

    Visual C++2010x86Redistributable 10.0.40219

    I am a bit lost (I am not an expert!!)

    Kind of thought some would be re games. The older dates though threw me, so windows upgrade has left the old required ones ?.
