Windows 10: Visual C++ Redistributable error while installing Blupointe backup manager software

Good afternoon,


i have a associate using windows 10 (64 bit) OS.


I’ve been attempting to download and install Blupointe backup manager software to set up cloud backup.


I downloaded the bp-16.8.0.162.38.exe file several times and saved to downloads folder.


I double left click on the above file and this same error occurs every time.

Cannot install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package

Installation will be aborted

\Details:

Fatal error during installation


Result is I’m unable to install and run the cloud backup software.



I have done the follow and the results were unsuccessful.


Updated windows 10

Cleaned up the %temp% folder



Ccleaner was also downloaded and installed

Registry clean was performed and many errors were cleaned

After several runs, all errors were gone



Please advise any suggestions. Your assistance is appreciated.

This issue might if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed properly.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 x64 Installation Failure

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) not installing
