  1. Visual effects won't save/change on stardard account.

    Hello,

i am using clean install of Windows 10 Pro 1909 x64. I am on standard account, however my visual effects won't save, or changes won't apply! For example: "Show translucent selection rectangle" is unchecked, yet when i box select something on desktop, i have still translucent selection rectangle. Or options "animate window when maximizing and minimizing" "Fade or slide menus into view" "show windows content while dragging" these changes won't uncheck, when i uncheck them and save and open visual effects menu next time, they are checked again. Besides even unchecked settings are still applied, so i am paranoid, what is on and off now... I also tried to change Userpreferencemask in current user/control panel/desktop and it did nothing. Or i disabled UAC, same...

Can you help me please ?

    :)

Visual effects won't save/change on stardard account.

Windows 10 - Visual Effects not saving

Everytime I log onto my account , I change my visual effects:

Visual effects won't save/change on stardard account. 54085e86-314c-4035-8f4e-cc51599e6bb5.png

(Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced Settings > Advanced > Performance Settings...)

But I noticed it doesn't save whenever I turn off my computer. I know that I have to go to into the UAC settings and turn the bar down, but I'm not able to do this because my account is only a normal account (non-admin). I do know the admin password, but
it when I change the UAC settings on the admin account, it doesn't change anything to my account.

    Any help would be appreciated!
