  1. Volume Control Fix?

A previous question had been posted regarding the volume control icon on the taskbar not working. The applicable part of the reply was this:

"If you are facing this issue with Volume Control using the speaker icon in the taskbar, try Uninstall and re-install sound card drivers, and then check for the issue.

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    b. In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
    c. Locate the audio device that was included with the computer.
    d. Right-click the device, and then click Properties.
    e. Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.
    f. Make sure that the Delete the Driver Software for this device check box is cleared, and then click OK.
    g. In the Device Manager dialog box, click the Action menu, and then clickScan for hardware changes.

You receive a message that states that a hardware device is being installed, and then the uninstalled audio device appears in Device Manager.

    h. Close the Device Manager dialog box."

I followed those instructions exactly through step g, but the hardware never reinstalled. Sure enough, the volume control works now, but I'm missing a sound component that I'd had before taking this action. How might I get it back?

    Volume Control Fix?

Fan control for 4870X2 broken in 1.17

Fixed fan controls yes. Annoying profiles yes. Buggy code yes.

I'd rather just set it and forget it as the feature list of RBE suggested it was capable of doing.
