  1. Volume of microphone changes by itself

    Hi!

I have a Blue Snowball. It works fine. The problem I have is that the volume of the microphone goes down to 2 sometimes and it's really bothering. Also, sometimes it gets up to 100. I have a almost fresh install of Windows. Reinstalled 2-3 days ago.

I've checked most programs that could change the volume, and everything seems ok. Also, I've unticked "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".

Does anyone knows what could be happening?

    Thanks in advance

Hi vesvespa, my name is Max and I'm an independent advisor.

I suggest you check your microphone gain level. To do it, try the steps mentioned below:

Right click on Speaker icon (Volume settings) on the Taskbar

    Choose Recording Devices

Click on Microphone and open the Properties

Finally, move the slider to choose the level. It will raise the Microphone and Microphone Boost option.
