Windows 10: VPN issues with Windows 11

I have been working with the same VPN for 3 years. I just upgraded to windows 11 and now I can't get it to connected or connect consistently. I have removed update KB5009543 and disabled Windows defender firewall. Both seemed to resolve the problem at first, but I'm having issues again
