Windows 10: VSync in Borderless Windowed *NOT* working

Hi guys,I'm one of the five people in the world that LIKES playing with VSync, as without it my games are stuttery and full of screen tearing, which I despise.So, my problem is very peculiar and not very popular I searched, haven't found anyone like me - "automatic" VSync that is, built into Windows 10, or DWM, name it as you will doesn't work in games - at all. Or, should I say - it's working since I don't have any screen tearing, but then FPS is fully uncapped so frame times are very crazy. Even if I do cap it 60 FPS, most of the time, the image is still very stuttery, as if VSync

The issue is related to every game that runs on a higher directx level than 11. Those are the ones that can bypass the dwm and run borderless without vsync. The issue lies on your side.

Why did it run perfectly fine before???? Like really? Blame it on me? I tried many things to fix it, even older drivers, even disabling anything that could interfere with it like focus assistant.

I already disabled updates since I don't want this one in my life because I need vsync off in borderless mode. Fix your new presentation mode finally please.

After my downgrade to 1709 everything works fine so pass it on to the engineers to fix their stuff....so many months only issues...

Did you even read my message that I already did what you've asked for?

Title. Anyone having the same issue? Before it was fine and I could play in borderless without having vsync how it's supposed to be with their fullscreen optimizations but this is completely broken now.

I tried reinstalling, disabling overlays all that stuff but nothing helped at all. Somebody having the same issue? Maybe it's just on my side. Thx!

 

Forced Fullscreen Vsync

I thought I would test #1 so I installed JKA (dx9). lo and behold, no frame cap.

Windowed or fullscreen makes no diffrence for me. I also read a few articles that state the DWM in win7-10 automatically vsyncs all windowed desktop apps including borderless modes.

I never experienced screen tearing until win10.
