Windows 10: W key not working after windows update

I'm playing a game and I use "w" to move forward but after the update I just did it now stops working when im holding it down or not even using it, it just stops working.


I tried updating my drivers for my pc and keyboard. uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and tested it in other computers that I didnt update it yet and I also happens when I'm typing too

W key is not working after the last windows update. On screen keyboard works just fine, and there is no dirt under the keys.

It worked just fine before the update, with zero issues. Now the W key will randomly stop working and I either have to hold the w key down for a long time to get it to work again, or wait till it decides to work again. If I hold the button down, the repeating
w's will also stop after awhile, randomly.

I have tried every solution, updating keyboard drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, tested things in the keyboard control panel, w also does the same thing there, but otherwise everything looked fine. My buttons are not old and are not shorted, they
were working great, until the update, now the w key will not work as its intended to.

I hope there ill be a patch to fix this issue.

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
2. Select or click Ease of Access.
3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
5. Check if issue is resolved.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
