Windows 10: W10 Builds

I am using 10130 which I guess is the last update. I keep seeing news about other builds but
this conjecture is ridiculous. Shuld I be using something newer???????????

New W10 Builds

A request on future W10 builds:

1 -- Leave System Restore turned on if it was on originally

2 -- Leave the defragmentation options alone. I set mine on daily and with each new W10 edition it sets them to weekly

3 -- Leave the screen saver setting alone. I use a time setting scroll for screen saver and new editions change it to Windows 10 scroll

4 -- Let the custom monitor color profile alone. Recent editions have corrected this I think. Sometimes the color profile is still there and loaded

 

Email problem

Are you on the new creators build of W10? I'm still on the previous version, perhaps they are different.

My W10 build - Version 1607, OS build - 14393.1358

My W10 Mail app - 17.8241.40725.0

If I open Mail and click the settings cog ( in Mail itself ), 'READING' is in the Mail settings 5th one down in the list, above 'Signature' and below 'Automatic Replies'.

 

Build 10147 is a leak.. I would stick with 10130 until the next build is dropped.

10130 is the latest official release. 10134 and 10135 were leaked.

All three of those were unusably buggy on my system. (Random hard lock-ups, several times an hour. Often the machine would lock when idle.) Your mileage may vary.

The leaked 10147 still has issues in my installation, but it appears to be much closer to release quality than the 1013X builds.

If 10130 is working acceptably for you, you may do well to stay with it, rather than foolin' with a leaked version. That's partly based on the assumption that a new "flight" will be released soon, that will be only a step or two away from the 7/29 version.
