Windows 10: W10 driver update

W10 update downloaded and installed the following driver update HP Image 52.1.51770. What concerns me is that the W10 hdw driver update feature has been disabled. So I don't know why it was downloaded and installed. Also, I don't have an HP PC only an HP AIO printer. Please see attached screen shots. Cane someone please explain this to me? Thanks

Wait, but have you done the whole step-by-step guide described in the OP? DDL/DTS isn't supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 either, unless if you do the steps listed there.

 

Windows update keeps replacing ALPS Touchpad driver with a Synaptics driver.

I suggest you to uninstall and delete the previous drivers and the latest drivers for the touchpad and install the required version of the driver from Device Manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
• Expand the Touch pad driver.
• Right click on the driver and click on update/install.
• Select the required version from the on-screen prompts.

And for the problem with the installation of printer drivers, I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Update” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Latest W10 update reset my GPU drivers?

I checked when I got home. It actually installed the same driver I already had, i.e. 391.35. And removed my settings. *Wtf :wtf:

I installed the new driver (397.64) myself, but is there any way to avoid this for every W10 update that is released? Pretty annoying.
