Most professionals are too busy doing work on their computers to actually care about most of these perceived issues. You know like, scientists, disease research, architecture, doctors, police work, business, banks and the list goes on. Sure a few might go and mess with their windows pagefile and other windows settings. Then come on line and complain about automatic updates in windows 10.

The rest will upgrade, learn whats changed and continue working. Someone who works on cancer research is still a professional even if they don't care about having a windows 7 start menu.

  3. Just like comparing a car to an operating system? Your statement was he is not a professional if he doesn't hold your opinion, my response is their are many who do hold his opinion and are professionals.

Mousegolf, I just want to clarify I do respect your opinion and understand why you would prefer windows 7 for you and your clients. I just don't understand the need to throw out other peoples opinions just because they are not a professional in your mind.

Maybe my example was apples to oranges and a logical fallacy. (someone fill free to correct me on this)
In my mind it was just to show you can have 2 professionals, one who likes windows 7 and one who likes windows 10.

Scraping what, windows 95? I still have original CD for it, would be pity to waste, newfangled support people would not know about anything newer.

That's one of the most embarrassing posts I've read in a while.

You think the Win 10 Start has reconfigured the fundamentals of how to use the OS? Hahaha...

It has slightly different styling and allows you to put more than one icon on a row than previous Start me. That's about the sum of the differences.

    Utter muppetry!

Wow, you claim to be a tech? I feel sorry for your customers...

My current Mustang, and my '69 Mach 1 that I sold 26 years ago. I sure miss that car, and I also miss the simplicity. The old one was low-tech and you could do a lot of bolt-on mods. Not anymore with new cars. Well, it is not as easy.

I fix and maintain a lot of computers for friends and relatives (many of them are elderly and have very limited computer skills) so I steered as many as I could away from 8 / 8.1.

I think I can steer them to 10 comfortably now.
