Who the hell decided that this is a feature that is automatically enabled?

Who the hell gave you permission to edit my files?

Why the hell do I have to MANUALLY go through every file 1 by 1 disabling compression?

Please tell me how to restore the compressed files quickly & how to prevent this from ever happening again. I don't care if my C: drive isn't running optimally due to limited space, the decision to compress my files is MINE and mine ONLY. I never wanted you to touch my files & I never want this to happen again.

I've talked up W10 for years to friends who were reluctant to switch & now I'm starting to wish I never did.

    Thanks.

    :)

Administrative template missing in group policy editor.

I have Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1171).I want to speed up the loading of thumbnails in the file explorer for pdf files. I went to this article and it lists the steps that involve editing the group policy. https://www.guidingtech.com/speed-up-thumbnail-loading-windows-10/

Unfortunately, I am not getting the administrative template in my group policy editor and cannot proceed.

I am the sole user of my laptop with admin privileges. Please advise.

I tried installing admin templates from this link but it didn't solve my issue.

  3. group policy editor

    Hi Tony,

Group Policy Editor in Windows is a tool to help you manage policy settings. Here's how you can access the Local Group Policy Editor:

    • Press Win+R to open Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.

Let us know how else we can help.

    missing components group policy editor

I've been trying to enable Reopen last browsing session. I have a brand new Win 10 home laptop. I've finally got group policy editor installed and some options/folders are missing. local computer policy/administrative templates/windows components/internet
explorer/internet control panel . This folder only contains folders for security page and advanced page. I need a folder labeled "General Page" to enable Reopen last browsing session. I have the same list under internet control panel in the user configuration
menu. How do I add folders (and their contents) that are missing from the group policy editor?
