    I have a system image made on a portable HD using the imaging program within W10, but I can't use it now that I suffered an issue from trying version 2004, and had to reinstall W10. Computer name changed, and when I try to run the image, the attached popup is shown. I tried what was shown in the link, but there are no .VHD files in the backup, I guess because they went bye-bye when the OS was 'refreshed'.

    I do have a recovery Drive USB made from the orig W10. Is there a way I can utilize this image somehow? Maybe have it converted by another clone program, and then use? Thanks a lot for the help.

    Reinstalling W10 within VMware Fusion - clean image

    I had to reinstall the VM image after the image got corrupted.

    It was originally a W8.1 image that was upgraded to W10. I used key finder to keep a record of the W10 key. Now W10 says the reg key is blocked!!

    Do I have to go back to W8.1 and upgrade to W10 all over again?!!

    W10 System Image Backup

    When I use the W10 System Image Backup, it hangs at the step where it says it is "Preparing to create backup" and eventually times out leaving error codes 0x80780021 and 0x81000101. How do I fix this? My machine is Dell XP13, Core I7, 8th Gen, 500 SSD
    and the hard drive is encrypted, but the backup says it will save an unencrypted version on my external backup hard drive.
