    W10 install in UEFI mode

When I receive the Windows 10 download on July 29th or whenever they send it to me, I want to install it in UEFI mode.
I am using Windows 8.1 64 bit currently and it is installed in BIOS mode. (Long story, I've never been willing to clean install after I had W8.1 up and running, I have new different computer now but same OS. Like I said, long story).
All my hardware is UEFI capable.
So will the new OS tell me which it recommends? Will I be required to clean install W10 to switch everything to UEFI?
Will this be self explanatory during the install process?
    My system specs:
Operating System: Windows 8.1 64 bit
    Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
    CPU: AMD FX8320 8 Core CPU 3.5- 4.9Ghz
    Graphics: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X
    Memory: Team Zeus DDR3 16Gb
    SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500Gb
    HDD: WD 1000Gb Black
External HDD: WD 1000Gb My Book
    OD: Pioneer Blu-ray Drive combo.
PSU: EVGA 850W modular Gold certified
    Thanks.

    :)

    stuck on device driver error

    Hi!

Your BIOS mode is set to UEFI. Your BIOS Version/Date is A01 2014. Dell should have an update for your bios. But changing the BIOS Mode to Legacy may help with the error.

To enter W10 boot option hold shift down while clicking restart. This is installed to UEFI chip by Windows. I do not use UEFI mode because of driver issues. So I do not know my way around W10 boot option.

To disable UEFI mode, fast start has to be disabled so you can enter the dell bios setup with F2 or Del.

Cannot find the option to enable intel vt-x in Windows 10

Based solely on my installation (via upgrade + clean install) of W10 on UEFI and non-UEFI bios pc's: The option to enter UEFI settings via Advanced Startup only appears when W10 has been properly installed as UEFI- more specifically- if you reinstall W10
via usb meda- the UEFI INSTALLATION option should be selected (vs other compatibility choices) to ensure UEFI is retained.

You have to upgrade your Windows 8.x in order to get the free upgrade, that means leaving it in the same boot mode it's always been in. After that upgrade, you can download the ISO from Microsoft and do a clean install, but you must perform the upgrade at least once.

Yes I think you're correct. I will hold off on installation of W10 for a few days and come back here often to this forum often to see what others are experiencing and I'll be looking for some nice screenshots of the install process.
