Windows 10: W10 installation on new HD

I have an Acer Aspire S3 w hich has a failed hdd. I use it for travels and the odd use of two laptops at home. I wish to replace it with a new ssd drive. I do not have a image of W10 to utilize for reinstalling the the OS., nor can I axcess the the failed harddrive. How do I go about getting a new installation of Windows on the new ssd? several questions /possibilities occur:


Is it possible to connect some how with Microsoft from the Acer without a W10 installation in order to get the install tool?


One possibility occurs to me, downloading a new W10 installment tool on the ssd while using my other laptop. Then mounting the ssd it in the Acer and finish the installation. Is this possible?


Are there other possibilities?

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

New install w10. Didn't find a 1tb HD.

System is w10 on HP Envy, 32gb ram, 2.5tb internal HD, 250gb external.
The new installation of w10 did not find a 1tb HD. There are 2 installed. Found only one.
How is this solved?
