Windows 10: W10 is extremely slow/freezing, same for File Explorer

Good afternoon fellow friends!I just got home from holiday yesterday, and my PC which is on 24/7 had rebooted. I booted it up again, noticing it was rather slow, during the boot. When i got into the desktop, and tried to use it as usual it became the slowest operating desktop mankind have known and experienced.When opening File Explorer, Folders and such, it uses around 2-5 minutes loading it. Same goes for all my applications and programs, when i open them, they go gray, stays in a state of "not working/not answering". I tried to download Advanced System Care, and Norton from my other PC to t

File Explorer extremely slow and unstable.


So I just took part in the Windows 10 Insider Preview a couple of days ago, and I have to say, Windows 10 is a great step up from Windows 8, they did an excellent job so far. There's just one problem: File Explorer is extremely hard to use. Not only does the file explorer freeze all the time (even on folders with almost nothing in them), when it does freeze, it goes back to the top of the folder when it unfreezes.

What I mean is that I can be half-way down a 260-count file folder, like this:





Then it will freeze, and after it unfreezes, it goes back to the top of the folder, like so:





Doing simple tasks such as moving, copying, renaming, deleting and even scrolling and clicking causes File Explorer to freeze, sometimes even when it's idle!

And what's weirder is that the glitch doesn't happen when your opening a file for a specific program (say you click 'open' in Word and you get the 'Open' dialog box where you can pick a file).

I posted this over to Windows Feedback too, but I don't think it supports user comments, so I'm posting here to see if there's any fix. If there's any fix for this, let me know. It's been annoying me for a while now.

 

File Explorer Extremely Slow or Not Responsive

I have windows 10 and these issues occur when using file explorer, moving or managing files.

A. File explorer takes minutes to open or won't open when clicked on (this includes using the windows search bar and any icons on the computer).

B. File explorer crashes often or is extremely slow while attempting to rename a file.

C. File explorer crashes often or is extremely slow while Creating/naming a new folder

D. File explorer is in general extremely slow and crashes when moving through various folders.

I hope this is enough information to indicate what is wrong. I really need help with this as my computer is becoming nearly unusable for certain tasks due to these issues.
