I still like Puppy Linux. I want to try FatDog 64 as well. I like the classic look and feel of the Joe's Window Manager. Great for older hardware. I like being able to do 2016 work in a building with a 1995 facade ... lol

IMO ... Here one person that wouldn't change what he thinks of Linux, it SUCKS ... And it will never be a prime time everyday operating system by the general populations, because it's crap. SORRY Linux "developers" at the end of the day it will always be crap no matter how perfectly you might make it

  3. But what precisely makes it crap? The innards of the OS are VASTLY superior to Windows. I would say BSD or Solaris is even better, but Linux does make for a good foundation.

So is it the windowing managers or desktop environments that you think are crap? Just wondering.

It may be crap for simple minds like you. But it is an excellent OS for people with a brain.

I understand Linux just fine . Linux has been around since what the early 90ties, yes? And most of their distros are free.... Hmmmm .... So lets see if something were great and free you would think the majority would be using it by now, no? Or maybe the majority are stupid. LMAO... The majority don't use it simply because it's crap.

I don't think it is worth my time to discuss this any further.

  10. Easy, whs. Where's that agree to have difference of opinion you used in the upgrade or not discussion? Don't need any insightful posters getting banned (temp or otherwise).

You are right Deacon. But the man went up my sinuses. I have no problem with an opposing position, but it must be based on facts. I will change the wording.

IMHO, hardware/software support is what's holding Linux back. With the right version of Linux it's not that hard to use.
