Windows 10: W10 Mail APP Auto Complete Stopped Working unless......

I have had no problem with auto complete (AC) in the W10 Mail app until two days ago. I used to be able to type the first letter of a name and a pop up would come up showing 7 or 8 names with that letter in it. Now I have to type at least 2 letters before the window pops up and the window has less selections in it as before. For instance used to type 'b' and get ben, bob bill, etc. Now I type 'b' and nothing. I add 'e' and get ben but no bob or bill.


Tech took control of my machine today and could not fix it. Case #1463606060.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

• Did you add your fsnet.co.uk (POP3) address as an additional account in W10 Mail App?

I suggest you to remove the account and re-add it.
