Windows 10: W10 newby, grieving loss of WLFG or WFG

It isn't third party - it is MS - the same link in fact.

It just has other languages not just English.

 

My apologies, I saw that your link was to itechtics, but their links are indeed to Microsoft.

 

I installed the whole 'sha-bang' this morning, everything is working normal as it always has.

@ Edwin: I see that you flagged your Windows Essential Folder with a cute heart shape--That's a good idea, how did you do it please?

 

Alt+3 then Enter...
for some reason it keeps it at the top of the hierarchy, the rest are 'bullets', Alt+7
(The rest of the folders are hidden)

EDIT: Alt+3 has to be done on the numeric keypad with NumLock on.

 

Hello again!

YAY! I installed WLPG without problems and began copy of the biggest W7 desktop pic folder & subfolders ( 128 GB). It's been running since Sunday night and all seemed well until yesterday when I noticed that progress meter is stuck at same pic. A closer look shows that only 45.8 GB have been copied.

Any ideas what to do? Many of the W10 subfolders have been copied OK (size is same so I guess that means they made it).

Great thread. Would anyone have and be willing to share with me the offline installer for the last version of Essentials 2012? I missed the opportunity to download it (4 days ago) and really want to regain access to Movie Maker. Actually, my wife prefers it as we're not able to locate a suitable alternative. She's making a compilation of videos and images for our daughter's first birthday. *Smile

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind, I found it!

 

3/26 UPDATE...
Still working on it! With help of techie friend, I can access W7 from my W10 laptop through a remote connection. Planning to use Teracopy to copy remaining W7 folders to W10. Appreciate comments if there's a better way.
