    W10 restart/USB keyboard & mouse

I recently waded into the W10 pool and I am completely baffled about this subject. I set up a dual boot SSD with my W7 system of seven years (which still hums) and I can say everything is running very nicely. W10 starts up extremely fast from a power up - thanks to “Fast Start” being on. However, any restart of 10 involves about a 30 second delay before the keyboard & mouse are active. W7 has NEVER behaved this way and still DOESN’T!

My MOBO has PS/2 ports and they are instantly available in 10, regardless of how it starts up. I’ve spent way too much time searching for a “solution” to this problem and I actually don’t expect one now. This issue was griped about in 2015 after the rollout and it is apparently unimportant to Microsoft.

I’m really kind of venting as to why Microsoft geniuses can’t understand that most people use USB K&M, and that they don’t constantly change them, and that said geniuses could probably make the K&M active VERY EARLY in the boot process. Like in W7.

I’m not interested in reinstalling drivers, OS, etc. If someone KNOWS a fix, it would be awesome if you share it. Thanks!
