    Was this call a scam?!??

i just recieved a call. They said they were from microsoft cybersecurity office. They told me that my microsoft Ip address was being used by someone else illegally.

I asked them for proof if they were really from microsoft and apparently they already knew my unique ip address. they even dictated it to me.

But im still not sure. Was this call a spam?!? because im concerned and what should i do about it now?!?
