Windows 10: watchdog violation after windows update

    watchdog violation after windows update


    So I have an Old pc upgraded to Win 10, worked ok at the weekend. But after a windows Auto update I get a Watchdog violation every 10 mins or so. I guess some driver has been 'updated' by windows and is causing a crash ? Heres the log. Hope someone can help or at least tell me which driver I need to downgrade. I hate windows update it just breaks things.*Mad

    Microsoft wants to know - Anyone seeing issues with the April updates KB3147461 and KB3147458?

    I updated to the newest Windows 10 on my new laptop but after restart and a few minutes the computer restarts and says there is a dpc watchdog violation then repeats the cycle of restart and watchdog violation how do i fix this I have already tried multiple
    fixes like disabling fast start up and updating the drivers this didn't happen until I update to the new Windows 10 update

    I would suggest you to check Dell for driver updates.
    The Nvidia storage driver has caused the crashes.

    ok thanks, that makes sense as that caused BSOD on initial install. Windows Update must have backed out the driver.
