Windows 10: Watchdog Violation when Reinstalling Windows 10

Hello,


My computer has recently begun failing to boot (it eventually resolves to a blue screen saying that it's missing some system files), so I have been trying to reinstall Windows with a USB drive.


When I boot with the drive, the logo appears on its own for some time, then with spinning dots, and then finally I get a blue screen message telling me that there was a "DPC_WATCHDOG VIOLATION." Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem? I'm not really sure what to do if reinstalling windows itself isn't an option.
