Waves MaxxAudio Service Application Causing High CPU output

    Hello,

I recently updated my windows, but I've noticed that whenever I run anything with audio, like youtube or video games, my CPU usage output jumps through the roof. The Waves MaxxAudio Service Application seems to be causing it to run at 80-100% capacity according to the Task Manager. This quickly heats up my computer and causes the fan to run whenever I want to watch a video or play a game.

I'm not sure why this happens and I've tried looking up ways to fix it to no avail. I've never had an issue with the fan running all the time before the update.

Is there a fix to this?

    :)

TokenBroker services causes high CPU utilization?

We have Windows 10 Pro version 1703, 64bit.

We see CPU stay at 50-60%, and spike up to 99-100% for extended times. We have been able to isolate the high CPU to the Token Broker service by using the Windows Performance Recorder and Analyzer.

We understand this service has something to do with the Windows Store and Authentication and was added in with the Anniversary update. With it turned off, we return to normal CPU utilization, but we are unsure if this service is a requirement.

Microsoft is a bit ambiguous on this service, even the description for the service reads "<Failed to Read Description, Error Code:1500 >"

    • Because there isn't a lot of documentation on this we are unsure if we even need this service. Can we simply disable this service permanently?
    • Is anyone aware of the Token Broker service causing high CPU like this?

  3. Waves MaxxAudio Not Available Anymore? (Dell)

    Hello,

Recently after installing Windows 10, I went into my Dell Audio app to change the EQ of my speakers and headphones with Waves MaxxAudio that I had with Windows 8 - 8.1, and the Waves MaxxAudio option is still there but nothing shows up to change anything.

Is this not available anymore? I really miss my bass booster, my Aerosmith and ACDC songs just don't sound the same without the bass. Thanks for the help.

Waves MaxxAudio® missing after installing Windows 10 x64

    Hi,

I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro x64 from Windows 7 Pro x64 and Waves MaxxAudio® is missing. I have the latest Realtek but no Waves MaxxAudio®. Do I need that? Where do I get that? My Asus ET2311IUTH came with it though. But I can't seem to find it now. Thanks.
