Windows 10: We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organization's...

I first got my computer currently using for free, from my school's public district program to give computer's to those who without one.


A couple days after I received my computer there was a visible notice on the bottom right saying you need to activate windows.


Looking into my settings there's a red pop up in red says, "We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organization's activation server. Make sure you're connected to your organization's network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization's support person. Error code: 0x8007007B"


My computer system product was activated through volume licensing from the original organization with the Product Key Channel saying GVLK.


It's been years since I originally received this computer, since not activating windows for me wasn't a problem back then. But now looking in to it trying to get rid of that annoying notification and the limited personalization I'm having trouble, trying to fix it. I have no way of contacting or connecting to the original organization activation server.

I looked online for answers and a discussion similar to this, said to try removing my current windows key which I did.


After removing my inactivated window product key I tried putting a Generic windows key, which was in one of the links of someone's answer. When I submitted the generic windows key, a yellow pop up appeared saying, "To activate with this product key, this device will need to connect to your organization's activation service".


I'm very stuck on what I should do since I can't really do anything, so I thought I should ask the community If there's anything I can do! Any suggestion is appreciated! Thanks!

It says i am using windows 10 education and when i check the activation area it says "We can't activate Windows on this device because we can't connect to your organisations activation server. Make sure you are connected to your organisations network and
try again".

No, unfortunately i don't know the history of this PC as it was bought second hand as a Christmas gift.
