Windows 10: "We couldn't complete the updates"

So I'm here still waiting for my pc to finish the same thing that happens since you released the 20H2 update: it tries to update but then it says that it couldn't, so every time i turn on the system i have to wait like 15 minutes and watch this process.

All the money that I've spent to have a relatively fast pc were literally wasted by the 20H2.

I just can't understand why I have to lose time trying to fix this problem that wasn't my fault.

I have to work and it's been months since this problem still persists.

I cannot spend hours and days watching dism and sfc NOT solving the situation every time.

Do something please. I have no more time to spend searching for a solution, I'm tired.

Windows it's a great system but sometimes if you're not a technician it's impossible to live with it.

I'm obviously gonna format if no help comes out but it's not the solution.


I already tried dism, sfc, deactivating win update it magically reactivates by itself and the cycle restarts, praying god, searching throughout other users questions here and there.

I really don't know what to do but the big thing is that I don't really know if I want to try to fix it because I'm tired of this mess.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Lumia 650, we couldn´t connect to the update service

Hi,

Have a lumia 650 with Version 1511, OS build 10.0.10586.494 is this the latest version?

When i check for updates i get this: we couldn´t connect to the update service, we`ll try again later..

I have internet connection via WiFi and a microsoft account set up.

 

"We couldn`t create a new partition or locate an existing one."

Try this:

Before you get to that message, press SHIFT + F10 to open a command prompt.

Run diskpart.
At the diskpart prompt, run these commands:

list disk

At this point you should see the SSD as disk 0. If it has another disk number, use that number rather than "0" in the next command.

select disk 0
clean
exit (to exit from diskpart)
exit (to exit from the command prompt)





That should clear the contents of the disk. The entire disk space should then show up in Windows setup as "Unallocated Space" as in the screenshot below.
