  1. Webcam issue

Recently the integrated webcam on my Lenovo Yoga 900-13ISK2 started having problems when used with Skype - it crashed after a few minutes - but no problems with other videoconference websites or apps. A couple of days ago, after the usual crash over Skype, I tried to delve deeper into the problem. When I would access the webcam through the Camera app, it displayed the error code: 0xA00F4244 no camera attached and no Imaging device was listed in Device Manager.

I tried every solution one can find online - to no avail. Even worse, when I tried to manually install the webcam through Device Manager, the process got stuck. I killed the process and restarted Device Manager. Now my camera was listed, so I restarted my notebook. It didn't restart: the OS got corrupted and, to make a very long story short, I had to reinstall Windows 10 from a bootable USB stick. You can easily imagine how stressful all this was. But this was no solution to my webcam problem: if I try to access the webcam through the Camera app, it still displays the error code: 0xA00F4244 no camera attached and still no Imaging device is listed in Device Manager. I am a teacher and, in these lockdown days, I need my webcam to be fully functional. I haven't been sleeping for two days and I would be very grateful if you could help me in some way.

    :)

    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click on Hardware and Devices.

    • Download the Webcam drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
    • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
    • Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’

    Issues with Webcam

Thank you. I did come across the HP site you've provided and tried some of the remedies offered. I tried the suggestions to reinstall the webcam software and the one that spoke about the WebCam not being listed under imaging devices in Device manager.
