How do I change webcam image from a mirror image to a corrected image.

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

We might need to isolate your concern to come up with an established solution. I think what you mean is instead of getting mirror images, you are getting reverse images. Am I correct? Does it also happen when using the camera in other applications or when
video recording or taking pictures? If you are facing this issue in other applications as well, then it could be due to corrupt webcam driver or a hardware fault.
I suggest running the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to scan your computer, identify the problems, and attempt to fix the issues automatically. You may refer to the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R and type Control Panel.
2. Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on Troubleshooting.
3. Click on Hardware and Devices.
4. Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

I also suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam driver through Device Manager and check if the issue will persist.
Open Device Manager, right-click the name of the device, and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver. Also, check if an update
for the webcam driver is available through Windows Update.

WebCam Image Sensors

Hello Everyone!

I'm doing a reaserch paper on webcam image sensors.
I'm trying to find out whether there are few main image sensors manufacturers who supply to all the webcam companies or whether each camera has a different sensor. my question is simply if Logitech, Creative, Hp etc all use the same sensor (and if yes then who is it) or they all use different sensors.
In addition, all webcams have an image processing chip (beofre the pic/frame enters the computer). where can i find what kind of processing does a certain camera has? are all image processing chips similar? manufactured in the same fabs?

I tried to find info on the web but with no luck
