Webcam started flickering after Windows 10 20H2 Update on Dell 5080 PC It is happening on multiple pc's in our organization. We tried different cameras, We rebuilt the PC again too. We tried turning off Power management on USB We unticked option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power We tried disabling USB selective suspend setting on Advanced power settings We even tried added DWORD EnableFrameServerMode and changed its value to zero on registry. Nothing worked. We have not planned to upgrade to Windows 11 yet. We still want to use Windows 10 for a

Screen flickers on Windows 10 machine


I have two monitors on my Windows 10 machine, both of which flicker every time Windows changes the wallpaper. If I'm engaged in some kind of I/O operation, like entering data, the flicker always disrupts what I'm doing.

Steps I've taken already, based on internet articles I've read:

• Updated video card driver
• Disabled two Windows services:

(1) Problem Reports and Solutions
(2) Windows Error Reporting Service
I also read that the iCloud application can cause flickering, but I don't have that app installed. Some video tutorials recommend uninstalling Microsoft Visual C++, but I have quite a few (23) installations of Visual C++, starting with with a 2005 version through a 2017 version. There are obviously many installed apps depending on these installations, and I am extremely reluctant to uninstall every app on my system one by one just to determine which might be causing this problem.

Webcam not being detected

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop which is running Windows 10.

Starting a few days ago, the built-in webcam that comes with the laptop stopped working completely. Programs like Skype, TestWebCam, and others fail to detect the webcam.





I have tried all the steps from Dell's official troubleshooting guide:

1. Updating drivers for the Integrated Webcam in Device Manager gave the
   message "The best drivers for your device are already installed."
   
2. Uninstalling the drivers for the Integrated Webcam.
   
3. Updating to the latest BIOS A12 had no effect.
   
4. Updating to the latest Chipset 16.400.3601 also had no effect.
   
5. Dell's PC Diagnostics more than 1 hour scan didn't find any webcam related issues.
   
6. Access to the camera is enabled in Windows 10's privacy settings.
