Windows 10: Webcam suddenly not working

Hello,


At the end of last week I installed the recent July Windows updates and tried to use Skype today and found that my camera is not working.


I found some online help and tried a few things like updating the driver, rolling back the driver, uninstalling the driver then scanning for hardware changes, manually downloading the driver from the manufacturer website and installing, but nothing has worked so far. I've also checked the camera settings and made sure the permissions are correct.


Would anyone have any other ideas on what to do next? I'd appreciate any ideas to get it working again.
