Windows 10: Weird stuff happening in the Windows 10 installation

Here I am again.


So, I finished building the PC Case missing and I created a USB to install Windows 10 in the PC, I created it alright in my laptop using the Media creation tool from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 My USB is 16GB by the way and when I put it in the PC and go into the USB this happens:

If I select UEFI drive:

Some random white lines in the middle of the screen like a static with a black background These lines are frozen. Top and bottom of the screen are black, only the mid has these white lines.

If I select USB drive:

I see the Windows 10 logo appear for an instant like 2 or 1 miliseconds probably and then a blinking white line in the top of the screen appears and a bit after that an orange screen with white vertical lines appears.


I only changed the disk drive and the thermalpaste from the CPU. Before I changed the disk drive it started the installation correctly before launching an error that basically meant that my HDD was dead. No white lines, no orange or black screens.


I'm a bit confused since everything I didn't find anything about the white lines and the only thing I found about the orange screen is that you have to enter your password, but since I didn't even install windows in this PC I don't have a password.


Ubuntu installed correctly just 1 day ago so I don't know what is the problem. I used the same USB drive to install Ubuntu and to try installing Windows.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
