    Weird VPN Issue


    Having a weird VPN issue on my PC, Windows 10 Pro 1909.



    When I am on my home network wifi and try to connect to any VPN App (NordVPN, Express VPN) it will not connect. Other computers, phones, tablets, connected to the same WiFi network will successfully connect to Nord or Express VPN.

    If I disconnect the PC from the home wifi and connect it to a different WiFi network (public or private), then I can connect to the VPN apps. If I connect to my home network via Ethernet, I can also connect to Nord or Express VPN.

    I have a TPLINK AC4000 Router.

    I have removed the network adapter drivers and updated those.

    I have reset all network settings and uninstalled all of the VPN apps and reinstalled them.

    I have turned off all anti-virus and firewalls temporarily.

    The issue persists.



    It is weird because one device will not work on a specific network. That device works on other networks, and other devices work on the network in which my PC is having an issue with. I am unable to isolate whether it is a Windows issue or an issue with my router because they are both functioning with other devices or networks, just not with each other.

    Any help or ideas are much appreciated!
