Windows 10: "We’re updating Forza Horizon 4. It should be ready to use again shortly."

Just a few hours ago I was playing Forza Horizon 4, when my game started lagging heavily. I closed the game to restart it to fix my issues, but on trying to launch the game, I got that error message. I left it for a few hours and it still gives me that message.

The microsoft store does not say it is downloading anything, and when I check "Add or Remove Programs" it says that fh4 only takes up 1.5gb. The game was working just fine before this, but I have had problems with the installation before.

I can't literally afford to redownload the game again this month and I'm sick of the issues with the MS Store.
What do I do?

I've been getting some sort of error popup for couple of days.

But today I came back from work and wanted to play some Forza Horizon 4 before sleep but it keeps saying "We’re updating Forza Horizon 4. It should be ready to use again shortly." and I can't open Microsoft store and search bar as well as win key + s is
not working.

I tried couple of fixes that I looked up here but nothing seems to work.

 

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
