Windows 10: What Account (and password) Am I Using for OneDrive ?

I have a free OneDrive account. My two computers connect automatically so it hasn't been a problem that I have forgotten the account I use for OneDrive. But now I would like a third computer to access the same files. So now I have to know the account and password. Is there a place somewhere in Windows (10 or 7) where I can see the account and password?

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Recovery of onedrive user id and password.

This will be the same email address and password combination that you use for your Microsoft Account.

Depending on whether your phone is on WP8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile, the exact steps might be slightly different.

Go to Settings, and then go to Email and Accounts. Whatever is listed first as your Microsoft Account is the email address you want to use for your OneDrive (in most cases).

If you can't remember the password for your Microsoft Account, from the web you can go the steps for "I forgot my password" on any Microsoft log in page. If you need help with this, ask below and someone can walk you through it.
