Windows 10: What are some general tips for cleaning my slower computer?

The thing is, my gaming PC just has loads of useless stuff just sitting around from years and years of use. I’ve noticed it’s clunky and a little slower now.

I googled how to clean a PC and was wondering what is a good routine? I’ve seen many different options. What would you do to your Pc if it’s getting overloaded with crap and you don’t want to lose all your saved informations and such? Thanks

Windows 10 Getting slower and slower?

This issue might occurred due to some third party applications, I suggest you to perform the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

I suggest you to disable the third party anti-virus software being installed.

Method 1: Start computer in safe
mode.

  Scroll down to Advanced startup, click
  Restart now.

  Click on Troubleshoot, Advanced options, and Startup Settings.

Method 2: Perform Clean boot to avoid any third party software conflict.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

'Generic PnP monitor' issue

Hello Angelica,

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

Press Windows + X keys

Choose Device manager

Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.
