What could the problem with bluetooth be?

    Hi there

I have an old Samsung NP355E7C-S09DE notebook, originally with Win 8, but now with Win 10 Pro 64 Bit.
Bluetooth is something I hardly use and a while ago, tried it out and I think it recognized my equally old Samsung Android smartphone.
I'm not quite sure, but I think then, for some reason I do not remember failed to transfer a file to/from a smartphone of a friend.

Yesterday, I checked it out, it's activated, checked out all settings and all show its active and Bluethtooth gadgets around should be able to identify it, show the computer name.

The problem is no other gadgets, including my smartphone and that of a friend, although they recognize each are able to identify my notebook.
I tried troubleshooting, it shows all is OK with the gadget. In the settings, it is set to be visible to other gadgets.

What could be the problem and how do I get it to work, so other gadgets can identify it?
It could also not identify other gadgets, although it has an old record of my smartphone, which is however not resulting from a current identification.

It is only the latest Windows Updates installed but not allowed a restart yet, for someunconnected reason, which is that one of them last time deleted WLAN credentials for a specific WiFi network I use and uses WPA2 Enterprise encryption. I do not have credentials/contact to admin. to get them to log in again and so I'm reluctant to allowed installation. I had to use Restoration point last time to access the network, though it seems the specific restoration points were deleted.
As said, this is NOT connected to the Bluetooth issue.

    Thank you in advance

    :)

    Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

What could the problem with bluetooth be?

    No bluetooth after system restore

    Thank you for your reply.

I mean I have used a Windows system restore point. I tried restoring bluetooth with commands in CMD (sfc/scannow; DISM /Online.....) and by updating and uninstalling devices in the device manager. Update did not work. Uninstalling bluetooth devices made Bluetooth disappear out of the hidden devices list.
All my steps I took worked but did not change anything in my bluetooth device list.

I am using the bluetooth of my mainboard. MSI Z370M Gaming Pro AC
My guess would be, that disabling the bluetooth network adapter before using a system restore point, disabled Bluetooth after using the system restore point.

In the device manager I get this message in the USB Device list for a unknown USB Device:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.
