Windows 10: what exactly happens during the first time setup

i am currently on windows 10 build 1809. it has .net frameworks 4.8.3. the c++ redistributables that i have are 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2017. i have directx 12

i am using steam to download games. when i download some games they will download redistributable files like .net framework setup files, directx setup files and c++ redistributable setup files. when i run a game after it finishes downloading then it does something called first time setup and it tries to install those files during the first time setup

one game came with the setup file for .net frameworks 4.6.2. another game comes with .net frameworks 4.5.2, c++ 2008 2010 2012 2013 and some june 2010 directx files. if i try to run those setup files directly without running the game then it will take some time to install. however, if the game tries to install those setup files then it only takes around half a minute and then the game will launch

what exactly will happen during the first time setup of games when it tries to install older versions of .net frameworks, older version of directx and c++ redistrubutables that i already have? does windows tell the game to abort the setup of those programs?

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

• May we know where and how it was deleted on your computer?
  
• Were you able to check if the deleted file can be found in the
  Recycle bin?

As an initial step, we suggest that perform a DISM command. This will help repairing possible system file corruptions. Follow these steps:

• Type command in the search box.
• Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator.
• Type this command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• Press Enter.
• Close the Command Prompt windows and check if changes were made related to the Modern Setup Host file.
